Both my wife, of fifty-five years, and I were born and raised in Brattleboro, living at our current address for forty-four years. We have three married children with families living in the area.
I began my working career at age twelve and began supporting myself at age seventeen. I graduated from Brattleboro Union High School and became a journeyman pressman at a local print shop. After that I was a salesman for over 40 years, from which I retired. I also owned and operated Harvey Guidelines, painting pavement markings.
I know how to work as a team. I have been privileged to serve at my church for thirty-nine years as a Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, men’s study leader and also as chairman of the board. For twenty-three years I served on the board of a local credit union, holding various positions over time as the secretary, vice-chairman and chairman. Currently I am filling an interim position. Also, I am a Justice of the Peace
I am running to:
1. Encourage innovation and the development of new ideas.
2. Decrease regulations for the building trades.
3. Hold our government accountable for tax money spent, including grants.
