I am Rusty Sage, a lifelong resident of Vermont, born in Brattleboro and raised in Wilmington. I am running for Vermont State Senate from Windham County.
In the position of Senator in the Montpelier Statehouse, My focus will be:
1. Promoting fair and just laws that keep our communities safe
2. Supporting law enforcement
3. Making sure the “Affordable Heat Act, having been repealed,does NOT return to the table
4. Repealing “The Global Warming Solutions Act” and its penalties
5. Standing for our rural landscape, making sure Act 181 tier 3 “Road Rule” sections remain deleted and mapping and rulemaking processes remain permanently stopped in critical resource areas
6. Working with other Senators and Representatives to bring affordable health care to Vermonters
7. Addressing the heroin epidemic, holding criminals accountable, eliminating legislature that allows use of illegal drugs in our state
8. Promoting the Second Amendment of our Constitution, the right to bear arms
9. Working with other legislators to address the homeless issue and ongoing influx of the homeless.
