vote for Dale Gassett

VT State Senator - Windham County

Meet dale gassett

 Hello Fellow Vermonters,

My name is Dale Gassett. I am a Candidate for a Windham County Senate  Seat in the November 3, 2026 Election. I am a Common-Sense Conservative, Multi-Generational Vermonter and a  U.S. Army Vietnam Era Veteran.

My work experience is 55 plus years as a  builder of all types of residential, commercial and industrial buildings.  My career in building began in my early years as I lived in Perkinsville,  Vermont, and continued as I attended college. Having a civilian acquired skill, I enlisted in the U.S. Army with the  ability to serve in a Construction Engineer Battalion. In 1987 I returned  to Vermont as a resident and property owner in Vernon. Since that time  my career and love of building has continued. Presently I am a  Commercial Construction Superintendent overseeing multi-million dollar  building projects.

As I returned to make Vermont my home again, I was saddened and  concerned because I didn’t recognize Vermont. The State had become  extremely liberal. From my perspective during my early adult years  before leaving to serve in the U. S. Army, Vermont was overall moderate  to conservative. I attributed this to then Senator George D. Aiken; a  steady influential leader who had held several positions in Vermont’s  State Government and then moved on to serve as a U.S. Senator from Vermont. George D. Aiken served Vermont for a total of 44 years.

As blueprints and foundations are the bedrock of buildings, our U.S. and  State Constitutions are the Supreme Foundational Laws and Bedrock for  a Well Ordered, Lawful and Civil Society.  Over the past several years the responsibility to adhere to these  necessary Foundations has been abdicated by the majority of Senators  and Representatives elected to serve in the Vermont General Assembly. Vermont Needs to Return to Its Constitutional Foundation.

I have been involved in Vermont Politics as a Republican for the past 30  years. I was a 2024 Windham County Senate Candidate and I also served  as the Windham County Republican Committee Chair.  As the farthest southeast County in Vermont, many would say Windham  County has been too easily given over, forgotten and ignored in the realm of Republican Politics.

There are 12 Representative Districts that include all of the Towns in  Windham County and 2 County Senate Seats. With the exception of 1 shared Windham/Windsor District Seat that is occupied by a Republican,  ALL other Seats are held by Leftists and Democrats.

Looking at the voting records, bills and overall policy initiatives of the  Windham County Senators and Representatives, you will see they are a  deeply entrenched group of some of the most reckless Vermont Elected Officials. They have supported and voted for extreme over-regulations  and costly policies that have diminished our Freedoms and Privileges and  damaged Vermont’s economy making the basics to live unaffordable.

As an Elected Windham County Senator I would be a strong, steady,  common sense, voice of reason. I would act to serve the Collective Best  Interests of Vermonters and I would keep my Constitutionally defined Oath of Office. (Chapter II § 16.)

The Leftist/Democrat Majority that has occupied Vermont’s General  Assembly for the past 20 years needs to be VOTED OUT! They have  negatively impacted and damaged the entire State of Vermont for too many years. Looking at the present unaffordable and unlivable condition  of Vermont, why would Vermont Voters choose to elect them again?

Thank you for your interest and consideration. Dale L. Gassett, Candidate  for Vermont Windham County Senator

Great to hear from you!

Drop Dale a line!
